We are recruiting Regional Protective Security Advisors to join our Protective Security team in London.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security risk assessments across the estate.
- Carry out security investigations and review compliance assessment forms, escalating as required.
- Provide practical security advice to Thames Water colleagues as a subject matter expert.
- Participate in the testing and exercising of our security arrangements.
- Support incident responses and risk register reviews; assist senior team members in auditing operational sites and systems, and provide quality assurance of security-related projects.
- Monitor security KPIs and SLAs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote common standards and alignment of security policy and practice across Thames Water, fostering a security-conscious culture.
Location and Working Hours
London (the specific part of London depends on the region you are based in). Travel around the region that you cover may be required. Working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience in developing and writing reports, with strong written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and people-influencing skills, able to communicate at all levels and present to an audience.
- Experience in a related discipline (risk management, protective security, technical or process management) and a willingness to develop into a security role.
- Ability to collaborate with strong communication and build strong relationships.
- Self-motivated, committed and organised.
- Security Institute (SyI) BTEC Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Security Management is desirable.
- National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) Foundation Course is desirable.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as utilities, government departments, national infrastructure; a background in the water industry, water engineering or civil engineering is desirable.
