We currently recruiting for a Field Operations Specialist to join our Waste Water Networks Operations team.
This is a key operational role that will lead field investigations regarding complex operational problems on our wastewater network, identifying solutions to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for ensuring that contractors are working safely and in compliance with business Health and safety procedures.
This role will have a particular emphasis on ensuring that our customers and stakeholders have the right resolution to any network activity in a timely fashion so customer and stakeholder management will be key.
The Northwest London team will be exploring how the technical skill sets of our teams within the catchment can be utilised in the best way, blending our people, our data and our technology to deliver for our communities and the environment.
What you’ll be doing as a Field Operations Specialist:
- Lead complex and technical activities in the catchment.
- Delivering operational and customer performance through excellent liaison with our customers and key stakeholders such as the Local Authorities.
- Engage with contractors, customers, councils and wider stakeholders to help work get delivered in a timely manner with minimal disruption.
- Champion change through a passion for continuous improvement, promoting best practice ways of working and sharing local knowledge.
- Ensure our policies are adhered to by following; Stringent H&S standards, compliance with Regulatory requirements and delivering great customer service.
- Out of hours Co-ordinator, rota basis where you will provide out of hours telephone assistance and support for escalations.
Base location: North West London – Hammersmith (W6 9RS)
Working pattern or hours: Hybrid – 36 Hours per week (Mon-Fri), plus the inclusion onto an out of hours rota (1 in 8).
What you should bring to the role
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is :
- Significant relevant industry experience and understanding of the business.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Previous experience in managing contractor relationships.
- Experience working within a regulated environment.
- Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Previous knowledge of Health and Safety.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have
- Knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act would desirable.
