You will be responsible for inspecting both domestic and non-domestic properties across the Thames Water London area, checking plumbing systems on both a reactive and proactive basis to ensure compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations.
This is a customer-facing role that involves regular travel to a variety of sites across London and the Thames Valley area.
What you'll be doing as a Water Regulations Inspector:
- Carry out inspections both reactive and proactive, contributing to our regulatory targets.
- Auditing of approved plumbers, monitoring competency and customer care.
- Auditing reduced-pressure zone valve installations.
- Direct involvement in high-risk/high-profile investigations, complex cases associated with confirmed water quality contamination.
- Support the notifications received by the business in relation to plumbing alterations carried out.
Base location: Your base location can be flexible depending on where you live and this will be discussed with the successful candidate.
Working hours: 7:30am to 3:36pm, Monday to Friday.
What you should bring to the role:
- Relevant industry background and understanding of the business would be advantageous.
- Sound working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations will be beneficial.
- City and Guilds Craft certificate in Plumbing or NVQ equivalent would be advantageous.
- Valid driving license.
