We are looking for an Emissions Performance Manager to join Thames Water permanently. The Emissions Performance Manager will guide and lead bioaerosols and odour performance across our wastewater and sludge treatment sites. You will ensure compliance with Odour Management Plans (OMPs) and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement to minimise environmental impact and community disruption.
What will you be doing as an Emissions Performance Manager?
- Lead the bioaerosols monitoring programme and oversee odour management across sites.
- Develop, implement, and review Odour Management Plans and control strategies.
- Analyse complaints and performance data to drive operational improvements.
- Conduct audits and ensure actions from inspections and asset reports are delivered.
- Oversee odour KPIs, reporting, and associated budgets.
- Manage odour-related incidents and ensure effective resolution and compliance.
- Work with regulators, local communities, and internal teams, and chair the Odour Steering Group.
- Improve data, systems, and training to enhance odour performance management.
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you will need are:
- Proven operational management experience in wastewater, sludge treatment, or a similar environmental services field.
- Strong understanding of odour control processes, odour management planning, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience in auditing, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with regulators, communities, and internal teams.
- Budget management experience.
