As a Salesforce Technical Lead, you will lead the technical design, development and continuous improvement of our Salesforce platform within the ERP & Integration Salesforce DevOps Platform Team. You will work closely with architects, developers, product teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure and high-performing Salesforce solutions aligned to business needs.
- Leading the scope, design and delivery of Salesforce solutions using Agile methodologies
- Translating business requirements and user stories into functional Salesforce solutions
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to developers and partner teams
- Reviewing and assuring technical deliverables to ensure quality, security and best practice
- Supporting integrations, APIs, platform events and complex technical problem solving
- Owning CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes and release management
- Supporting production incidents, testing and Go-Live activities
- Driving continuous improvement across the Salesforce platform and DevOps practices
Base location: Reading Clearwater Court
Working pattern or hours: 36 hours Monday to Friday, hybrid working
Necessary requirements for the role: Ability to travel to Thames Water sites as required
The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role is:
- Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning and APIs
- Experience designing and delivering end-to-end Salesforce solutions
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service
- Experience with integrations, data models and custom objects
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control and deployment processes
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Salesforce certifications (Developer, Architect or Service Cloud Consultant) desirable
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
- Experience within utilities or regulated environments
- Salesforce administration experience including roles, users, SSO and MFA
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ or Commerce Cloud
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience in large-scale digital transformation programmes
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
