Join us as a Digital Degree Apprentice and you’ll gain hands‑on experience with Thames Water’s Operational Technology team, supporting 24/7 services for customers, communities, and the environment. Earn a respected Level 6 qualification in Digital Technology and Solutions, opening the door to a long‑term career.
What you’ll be doing as a Digital Level 6 Apprentice:
- Remotely monitor, control, and manage thousands of water and wastewater collection, treatment, and distribution assets
- Gather and analyse insights from over 2.1 million data points
- Support strategic goals across the water industry, including reducing leakage and pollution, through Operational Technology solutions
- Drive digital transformation by embracing and adopting innovative technologies to exceed customer expectations
Where you’ll work:
- Location: Reading STW RG2 0RP
- Hours: 36‑hour week over four working days plus one training day
- Start date: September 2026
Training and qualification:
- You’ll study with Warwick University, a leading UK IT and Digital training provider, through a mix of 2.5‑day block‑release sessions and online learning over each 12‑week semester.
- Qualification achieved: BSc (Honours) Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions - Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Digital and Technology Solutions Professional apprenticeship standard
- Duration: Permanent contract with a 48‑54 month structured programme
What you should bring to the role:
- GCSE’s including Maths, English and a STEM related subject (grade 9-4 / A-C)
- 112 UCAS tariff points (including grade C in A Level Maths)
- Good IT knowledge including Microsoft Office
- A full UK driving license, own vehicle and business travel insurance is required.
