This role plays a critical part of the team by being the responsible person for highlighting issues related to the leakage-related suite of assets. This role is crucial to understand and improve leakage within a region. You will be part of a team that helps deliver a unique service to our 14 million customers and join at a ground-breaking time for the water industry.
What you’ll be doing as a Leakage Optimisation Analyst:
- Report and raise jobs for all faulty commercial loggers and prioritise as required – a key activity which will assist detection targeting work.
- Leakage detection targeting in your appointed region, utilising systems at your disposal.
- Locating jobs and raising notifications in a timely manner to ensure jobs are raised as quickly as possible.
- Highlighting, prioritisation and maintenance of the DMA proving program, assisting the engineer with this task to ensure that resource available is directed to the correct DMAs to optimise the productivity of these teams.
- Assists the engineer with desktop exercises to improve operability.
- Identification and prioritisation of field-based validation activity or desktop activity to highlight anomalies to address operability issues or function set changes.
- Deputise for the Leakage Optimisation Engineer on occasion, attend meetings etc and support the team.
Base location: Stroud Green - Croydon - CR0 8YY
Working pattern or hours: 36 Hours per week (Monday-Friday)
What should you bring to the role? To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
- We are looking for someone with a background in leakage or who understands clean water networks and the process.
- Must have strong communication skills and be confident organising their varied workload effectively with good time management abilities.
- It is essential that the candidate is comfortable with computer software such as Microsoft Excel, possesses good analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills and has a willingness to learn and work hard to drive their career within Thames Water.
- Full UK Driving License.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
- It is desirable that you would be degree educated in a related subject with varied experience in using a system such as SAP and GIS; however, this is not essential.
