What you’ll be doing as a Construction and Integration Engineer:

  • Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Carry out health and safety audits to ensure relevant issues are corrected.
  • Assessing and reporting project progress during the construction phase of wastewater projects, acting to rectify issues, and taking the lead on the escalation process if necessary.
  • Ensuring that all non-conformances are identified and corrected.
  • Managing, identifying, and resolving snags and liaising with Operators and contractors after the takeover to handle defects, the aftercare process, and performance testing.
  • Monitored, agreed on, and approved takeover tests with the project team.
  • Ensure that the required project documentation meets our specifications and that the information for taking over is approved.
  • Working as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.

As part of this role, you must be on site 3-4 days a week, 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate must drive and have a car - the role comes with a car allowance of £4,500 per annum.

What you should bring to the role:

  • Have an HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites or an SMSTS qualification can be offered as part of the role if the holder is not currently holding it.
  • Understand design, construction, and operations within industries like the wastewater sector.
  • Have a background in project delivery and integration within the construction sector.
  • Be confident in communicating with various levels of stakeholders.
