What you’ll be doing as a Water Quality Technician:

  • Collecting samples from treatment works, reservoirs and customer homes.
  • Overseeing the management of your sampling records and maintenance of sampling equipment, ensuring they’re kept to industry standards.
  • Liaising with the technical scheduling team, CSWQ group, and regulatory and performance team to plan your workload and deliver the monitoring programme.
  • Assisting with investigating supply issues or customer complaints if they arise.

Base Location: Crossness, Abbey Wood, South East London, SE2 9AQ

What you should bring to the role:

  • A full UK, clean driving license with a willingness to plan your routes, drive long distances, and comfortable driving a large commercial van in busy environments and remote rural locations.
  • Excellent customer service skills for visiting customers’ homes and cold calling properties.
  • Excellent attention to detail for recording samples on a daily basis.
  • Strong organizational skills and can work independently.
  • An existing knowledge of the water industry, if not a willingness to learn the water industry and its processes.
  • Good computer literacy.
