Looking to build your career in projects and make a real difference? Thames Water is looking for a Leakage Project Coordinator to join our growing programme.

As a Leakage Project Coordinator, you'll work closely with meter installation and leakage contractors to coordinate project delivery, analyse performance data, and identify opportunities to improve how we operate. Data from our expanding smart meter network supports our regulatory leakage commitments and enhances Thames Water's wider understanding of the water balance.

The programme has grown significantly in recent years and plays a key role in reducing wastage and leakage across our network. This includes installing non-revenue meters on bulk shared supplies, revenue meters on individual household properties, and analysing customer smart meter data to support customer-side leakage detection and repairs.

What you'll be doing as the Leakage Project Coordinator:

  • Reporting on and tracking performance, explaining variances against actuals, targets, and forecasts for meter installations and leakage reduction.
  • Coordinating with contractors and internal stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
  • Analysing data to identify new bulk metering areas of interest.
  • Improving the leakage benefits of the Bulk Metering Programme by targeting areas with high levels of unaccounted-for water.
  • Extracting data from GIS and other systems to provide contractors with accurate survey information.
  • Raising new meter installation jobs in a timely manner to support delivery against programme targets.
  • Assuring the quality of meter installations, documentation, and leakage detection before handover to Asset Management.
  • Monitoring faults, issues, and customer complaints to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Interpreting smart and analogue meter data to quantify leakage and prioritise customer-side repairs where leakage rates are highest.

Base location: Worcester House, Langley (SL3 6EY). This role is primarily remote, with attendance at the base location required at least once a week and additional travel to other sites as required by the business.

Hours: 36 hours per week

What you should bring to the role:

  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience producing reports and presentations.
  • Fully competent using Microsoft Office and relevant company IT systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.

Essential qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level (BSc/BA) or equivalent relevant experience.

Desirable experience:

  • Knowledge of project management or experience working on utility or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to risk management and issue resolution.
  • Experience working with third-party delivery partners.
  • Document control experience.
  • Experience supporting smart metering or similar operational programmes.

Desirable technical skills:

  • Project planning and coordination tools.
  • Experience using Salesforce and/or SAP.
  • Strong data analysis skills.

What's in it for you?

  • A competitive starting salary of 36,290 and up to 38,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 days with the length of service (plus bank holidays).
  • Performance-related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targets.
  • Generous Pension Scheme through AON.
  • Access to lots of benefits to help you take care of you and your family's health and wellbeing, and your finances.
