Job Title: Supply Interruption Field Operations Manager
Location: Thames Valley Region (Office & Field Based)

Working Pattern: Mix of office and field work (approx. 60/40), with participation in out-of-hours standby rota (additional payment provided)

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Supply Interruption Field Operations Manager to join our high-performing TV&HC Networks team. This is a pivotal role responsible for leading a team of front-line Supply Interruption (SI) Coordinators to ensure 24/7 delivery of critical operational services to our customers.

This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity within the Water Networks business to lead from the front—every day brings a new challenge. You\’ll ensure your team operates safely and effectively, maintaining high standards of customer service and health & safety compliance. You’ll also work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including planning teams, key contractors, and regulatory partners.

What will you be doing as a Supply Interruptions Field Operations Manager

  • Lead and motivate a front-line team of SI Coordinators to deliver outstanding operational performance.
  • Act as the first responder to supply interruption (SI) incidents and water mains bursts, coordinating resources across NST, R&M, NMC, and customer reps.
  • Take the lead on-site for water restoration efforts, making reactive decisions to restore supply efficiently and safely.
  • Optimise and manage alternative water supply methods such as mobile PRVs, network and tanker infusions.
  • Ensure 24/7 readiness and availability of critical SI tools and equipment.
  • Provide expert knowledge of local networks, supporting field teams with risk assessments, isolation, and rezoning strategies.
  • Become a local SI subject matter expert and coach, mentoring field teams on best practices during SI incidents.
  • Accurately document SI data, lead post-incident reviews, and drive continuous improvement based on learnings.
  • Participate in a standby rota, supporting incident management out-of-hours (additional compensation provided).

What should you bring to the role:

  • Proven leadership experience, ideally managing a front-line operational team. (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong decision-making skills under pressure, with a willingness to take calculated risks for customer benefit.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • A flexible, self-motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • High standards of health & safety awareness and compliance.
  • Comfortable working in a blend of office and field-based environments.
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
  • Full, clean UK driving license required.
