What you’ll be doing as an Accounts Technician Level 3 Apprentice
As an apprentice, you’ll learn by doing. You’ll join our Operations Finance team and be supported every step of the way as you develop practical skills in:
- Financial Planning
- Support the Financial Planning and Accounting Manager in preparing reporting, consolidations, timetables and communications, with strong financial controls and critical evaluation embedded in the processes.
- Preparing monthly financial reports on performance.
- Developing and implementing logical standards and modelling of Key Performance Indicators.
- Involvement in formal budget and forecast cycles including rolling forecasts and long-term business plans.
- Management Accounting
- Support the Financial Controller in understanding and transacting core financial processes.
- Ranging from regular cycle close processes, core financial control compliance and review, production/provision of information for statutory and regulatory accounts and preparing for audit.
What you should bring to the role
- Has GCSE Maths and English (grade 9-4 / A-C).
- Holds 3 A-levels in related subjects.
- Thinks logically and enjoys problem-solving.
- Can manage their time well and stay organised.
- Works well in a team but is also confident working independently.
Contract details
- Hours: 36 hours a week across four working days plus one off-the-job training day, with two days on site.
- Start date: September 2026.
- Training and qualification: You’ll study with First Intuition, a leading UK finance training provider. Qualification: Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard Level 3. Duration: 18 months.
