Thames Water is undergoing a significant business transformation spanning all areas of the organisation, and as such, the environment is fluid, challenging, yet hugely rewarding.
As part of this, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented PMO Coordinator & Analyst to join the Strategic Operations and Transformation Performance team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal part in supporting the successful delivery of our strategic transformation portfolio by providing high-quality project governance, reporting, and assurance support.
What you’ll be doing as a PMO Coordinator & Analyst
Work with and build strong working relationships with programme and project managers, business stakeholders, and senior leaders.
Track and monitor adherence to governance processes and delivery standards across projects and programmes.
Support the creation of project and programme plans, risk management, issue resolution, and change control activities while maintaining and continuously improving PMO frameworks, tools, and templates.
Support activities covering, but not limited to, delivery assurance, coordinating meetings, agendas, creating presentations, administering the programme level RAID, delivery plan, actions tracking, minute-taking, onboarding, activity planning and general programme support.
Analysis of data, preparation of portfolio and programme reports, and executive-level reporting and board packs.
Support communications and engagement activities related to project delivery and change management.
Key Details
- This is a Fixed Term Contract/Secondment to cover maternity leave for approximately 12 months.
- Base location – this is a hybrid role from Clearwater Court in Reading, with the expectation of working on site across the Thames Water estate as required.
- Working hours are 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday
- Please note the internal job title for this role is PMO Analyst.
What you should bring to the role
The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role are:
- Proven experience in a PMO, project support, or analyst role within a transformation or change environment.
- Experience working across complex, multi-project portfolios.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Valid UK driver’s licence and access to a car for business use.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
- Strong understanding of project and programme management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, Agile).
- Experience in benefits tracking and financial analysis.
- Experience working in regulated or large-scale operational environments.
