Role Overview
The Project Coordinator supports the planning, delivery, and oversight of projects within Water and Waste. The role coordinates activities across engineering, operations, contractors, and regulatory bodies to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocations for Water/Waste infrastructure and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate daily project activities to ensure tasks are delivered on time and in line with operational priorities.
- Assist in preparing project documentation.
- Facilitate communication to ensure all parties understand project requirements, constraints, and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records for H&S audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
- Monitor project risks and elevate issues that may impact regulatory obligations.
- Track project milestones, budgets, risks, and deliverables using internal systems and reporting tools.
- Prepare progress updates, dashboards, and status reports for project managers and senior stakeholders.
- Understand financial systems including SAP and Daptiv to support the teams, Project Engineers and Risk Manager when required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous project, change management and/or PMO experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels.
- High standard of verbal and written English required.
- Ability to work flexibly when required – many projects are site based and require travel across the region.
- Driving licence & own car essential.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Benefits
- Salary between £42,000 to £47,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
