The Programme Support Technician will be responsible for the essential back office administration tasks associated with running an outfall project, including dealing with customer communications, booking customer appointments and sending the appropriate PSWO letters to timescale.

Within Thames Water, this is a key department as the Environmental Protection Team are responsible for delivery of the Surface Water Outfall Programme and investigation of polluted surface water outfalls. In this varied role, in addition to duties for the Environmental Protection Team, this role will also support the wider Environmental Performance department, with customer communications and appointment booking along with other administration tasks.

What will you be doing as a Programme Support Technician?

  • Supporting the Outfall Investigation field Technicians in pollution tracing and customer communications.
  • Booking property survey appointments.
  • Printing and sending misconnection letters to the correct timescale.
  • Calling customers on the phone to request updates on rectification works.
  • Printing mapping used by the field technicians.
  • Managing the EPT Inbox.
  • Ordering equipment for the Technicians.

  • Excellent customer service and organisation skills.
  • Competent at using the appropriate IT systems, GIS and 365 software.
  • Some knowledge of drainage and sewerage systems would be desirable.
