As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be an ambassador for Thames Water on the road, upholding our values and delivering first-class customer service. You will be part of the Logistics Delivery team, operating a fleet of Potable Water Tankers to support reactive and planned work. You will learn how to take water samples before loading and discharging them into hydrants or reservoirs.
The role requires following processes and procedures and driving HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles (manual and automatic gearboxes), as well as support vehicles such as Welfare vans.

Full training will be provided. You will have the opportunity to learn more about our business and meet colleagues as part of Team Thames, with support throughout the recruitment process.
Working an average of 38/45 hours per week. This position is based at Farnham STW. A full training and an excellent wider benefits package are provided.
Shift pattern: 38.5 hours per week – 4 on, 4 off – £42,435 per annum.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 HGV vehicles and associated equipment as part of the Logistics Delivery team.
- Support reactive and planned water delivery operations; learn to take water samples as required.
- Follow company procedures and safety rules in all duties.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
- Willingness to work on a rotational shift pattern, including days and nights.
- No more than 6 penalty points and no DR or IN convictions on your licence.
- Full Driver CPC and a valid Driver Tachograph card.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act.
- Working knowledge of Drivers’ Hours rules and Working Time regulations.
