Our Project Engineers manage all aspects of their projects, from the initial scoping of the need, competitively tendering the work, contractor procurement, site set-up and inductions, and health & safety inspections, through to commissioning, training and handover to the operations teams.
What you will be doing as a Project Engineer:
- Managing and delivering a portfolio of projects, each typically valued between £40,000 and £400,000, giving you real variety and ownership.
- Overseeing up to 15 live projects at a time, while also progressing others through scoping and tender phases.
- Developing modern, innovative solutions to operational challenges — making our sites more efficient, cost-effective and continuously improving for our customers.
- Collaborating closely with operations teams and contractors to scope, define and cost safe, effective solutions.
- Championing our zero-compromise approach to Health & Safety, ensuring every contractor on your projects meets our high standards.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
Location: Across the London area, including Beckton (IG11), Crossness (SE2), Deephams (N9) and Mogden (TW7)
What you should bring to the role:
- A background in Engineering— Mechanical, Electrical/ICA or Civil.
- Formal qualifications in your engineering discipline (strongly encouraged).
- Excellent stakeholder coordination skills, working confidently with internal teams, site staff and contractors.
- The ability to work independently, stay self-motivated and use your initiative to deliver high-quality results.
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety standards, particularly within construction and CDM.
- Industry experience (highly advantageous but not essential).
