We are looking for Cadet Leaders for Bracknell and Wokingham. The cadets are aged between 13 and 18 years old so we are looking for people who enjoy working with teenagers and can bring fun and engagement to sessions. It is a really diverse and fun group of cadets.
As a Cadet Leader you will be:
- Supporting cadets at weekly sessions and occasional weekends
- Supporting cadets at community events/projects
- Help broaden cadets knowledge of policing and volunteering in the community
- Undertaking basic administrative tasks utilising ICT systems
- Helping to arrange and manage the cadet programme
- Log volunteering hours monthly and submit expenses where applicable via an on-line computer system

As a volunteer within the police service, you will be subjected to a level of police vetting. The level will be dependent upon the role and its access requirements. With the higher levels of vetting, applicants could be asked to provide details of family members, partner, partner's parents and co-residents, as well as additional information regarding their own personal circumstances. This process is required to ensure that Thames Valley Police comply with the legislation of the Vetting Code of Practice.
Whilst we endeavour to complete all vetting within 30 working days of receipt of vetting forms, unfortunately this is not always the case due to operational demand and back-logs, and could take considerably longer.
