The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
The successful candidate for the Surveillance Supervisor role will manage and support Surveillance Operators to ensure consistency in performance and effective delivery of services to support Force, LCU and Community Safety objectives to detect, record, report and reduce crime, disorder and the fear of crime.
You will attend and contribute to daily briefing, fortnightly TTCG, major event planning, weekly fault and reliability system meetings and any other meetings deemed relevant to the post holder’s position. You will work with and support senior LCU management, police officers, police staff, partners and CCTV maintenance contractors in relation to the effective management and delivery of the CCTV Surveillance Operations.
Responsibilities- Ensure staff compliance with the requirements of legislation and any Codes of Practice that govern CCTV operations in order to maintain data security and integrity of CCTV systems.
- Conduct evidential spot checks and provide ongoing training.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact for CCTV operations, helping police officers, police staff and members of the public.
- Understand CCTV and control room standards such as BS/7958 and BS/EN/62676.
- Ensure continuity of recorded material is maintained with appropriate records in accordance with current legislation including the Data Protection Act, Computer Misuse Act, MOPI, GDPR 2018 and CCTV Codes of Practice.
