Full Time Vacancy

An opportunity has arisen to join Thames Valley Police as a Safety Camera Operator. In this role, you will work in a small team supporting the mobile and fixed safety camera program by setting up and monitoring speed detection equipment.

As a Safety Camera Operator, your work will contribute to road safety by helping to reduce accidents and injuries on Thames Valley roads. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Driving to designated locations for speed enforcement using vehicle-based equipment.
  2. Operating static speed and red light camera enforcement equipment.
  3. Attending court to give evidence related to speed offences.

You must be able to travel across the Force area and complete assignments promptly. Due to the nature of the work, which may involve unsocial hours and lone working, a full UK driving licence is essential, especially as public transport may not always be available or suitable at these times.
