The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

Part time vacancy, 18.5 hours per week. An opportunity to join Thames Valley Police in an active and visible role as a Safety Camera Operator. You will work in a small team of operators supporting the mobile and fixed safety camera program by setting up and monitoring speed detection equipment. You will be carrying out work that matters by helping to reduce the number of those killed and seriously injured on roads in Thames Valley.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to designated locations to carry out speed enforcement using vehicle-based equipment.
  • Operate both static speed and red light camera enforcement equipment.
  • Attend court to give evidence in relation to speed-related offences.
  • Travel to different locations across the Force and undertake assignments in a timely manner.
  • Work flexibly, including unsocial hours and lone-working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. A full UK driving licence is considered essential.
