Overview
An exciting opportunity to work with police information, records and evidence. The successful candidate would be part of a team responsible for providing an effective archive service to both forces, including retention, review and disposal of records (electronic, paper, tape, microfilm, and frozen samples) and other archived Force assets. The role includes working at height (4.2m), using manual handling or powered and unpowered equipment. You would also be required to use our warehouse management software and other systems to catalogue and manage incoming material along with maintaining our collections over their lifespan.
Responsibilities
- Retain, review and dispose of records and archived assets across formats (electronic, paper, tape, microfilm, and frozen samples).
- Operate safely at height (4.2m) and use manual handling or powered/unpowered equipment as required.
- Utilise warehouse management software and other systems to catalogue and manage incoming material.
- Maintain and manage archived collections over their lifespan.
Qualifications & Skills
- Good customer service and communication skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
- IT literate with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to manipulate data from a variety of sources/databases.
- High integrity and trust due to dealing with sensitive and classified information.
- Good standard of education with excellent numeric and literacy skills.
