An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) for an Intelligence Development Officer in the Online CSAE and Crime Operations (OCCO) team. Intelligence Development Officers are integral to the OCCO team in SEROCU. In this role, you will lead on the management of people operating online to further their offending in the CSAE and crime areas. You will help identify and develop evidential packages against suspects to support wider investigation teams across the UK and worldwide.

As an IDO in OCCO, you will be responsible for researching across different data sources to support understanding on known threats and to identify new and emerging trends as well as pinpoint individual offenders. You will be at the centre of the business, helping to prioritise operations against the greatest threats and deliver the maximum disruptive impact on serious and organised crime and drive positive impact on safeguarding children and prosecuting those who offend against them.

You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason, a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role. Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
