Broad Band 4I £46,075 per annum, plus benefits. Part/Full Time: Full Time - All roles are available for flexible working including job sharing and part-time unless there are legitimate operational/business reasons why this cannot be accommodated.

SEROCU’s Cyber Crime Command delivers the regional and force Pursue, Protect, Prepare and Prevent response to cyber crime across the South East. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Command and support the Pursue teams through the delivery of financial investigations, POCA civil proceedings, and confiscation investigations.

We are seeking an accredited Financial Investigator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with investigation teams (up to and including SIO level) to identify criminal assets and evidence of money laundering, setting clear investigative parameters and delivering outcomes in a timely manner. The role holder must be self-motivated, able to work with the minimum of supervision, and be well organised (preparing case files and dealing with large volumes of material).

You must be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and excellent investigative skills, with the ability to review and analyse financial intelligence, identify Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) disruption opportunities, and present findings clearly and cohesively. The role will also require providing evidence at trial and making applications for court orders in both Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.

Please note applications from fully accredited Financial Investigators (FIO, FI, Confiscator, CRiSP, Restraint, S.47) will be prioritised. In the event the post holder does not hold this accreditation they will be required to complete the relevant entrant exams and training and thereafter, submit the respective PDP to attain full accreditation with the NCA Proceeds of Crime Centre (PoCC).

You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason, a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
