Part time vacancy – 18.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
- You will be the first point of contact for all members of the public visiting the police station.
- You will deal with victims and offenders, managing their expectations, offering support and reassurance to vulnerable people and reasoning with and calming emotional, angry and aggressive visitors.
- You will check and record details in police IT systems.
- You will deal with internal customers and provide a high-quality customer service in accordance with current legislation, policy and procedures.
- You will perform general administration and be responsible for the receipt and return of property.
Qualifications and Skills
- You need to be assertive and have the ability to remain calm and think logically in challenging situations.
- You must be sensitive and understanding of the needs of emotional victims, appreciating confidentiality and diversity.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills are essential.
- You must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
- You will have the ability to undertake physical Personal Safety Training.
