In this role you will manage, risk assess and monitor Registered Sex Offenders living within the Thames Valley area whilst managing and monitoring persons subject to the Sexual Offences Act (2003) and Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA). You may also be required to complete an attachment to the MOSOVO Investigation Team to develop and support investigation for offences identified.
You will have excellent communication and problem solving skills with experience of communicating with internal/external customers at all levels and dealing with complaints from various sources. The ability to work confidentially and independently in a flexible manner is required along with good analytical skills in order to record and capture fine detail. You will be emotionally resilient when faced with distressing situations in what is a high trauma role. Previous experience of writing reports is required together with an interest in digital technology. A previous accreditation, or willingness and ability to achieve and maintain Professionalising Investigations Programme (PIP) 1 accreditation is required and there is the requirement to complete and pass annual public contact training as well as physiological screening.
Due to the nature of the role it is on site, however, there is the occasional opportunity to work from home but this is in frequent and on agreement with the line manager.
Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
Along with all other posts in Force Crime, Intelligence and Specialist Operations Departments, this role will require an enhanced level of vetting. Psychological screening will be required for this role.
