Thames Valley Police are recruiting for an exciting full time opportunity in the Finance Operations department supporting a critical business area. This is a Secondment/Fixed Term Contract (12 months), reporting into the Senior Management Accountant. You will be responsible for delivering month end (running reports, posting journals, dealing with queries and reconciling balance sheets) and providing reliable, timely reporting to business partners. You will look after one Accounts Technician who will support your role on a transactional basis.

The post holder will be an AAT qualified accountant or equivalent with experience working in a management accounting or similar role in a large finance function, preferably with line management experience and the ability to coach and mentor junior staff. Exceptional communication skills and proven experience of building strong relationships with senior stakeholders are essential.
