EOI - Sergeant - PORM Cadre (Secondary Skill Opportunity)(CTPSE)

Overview

We welcome Expression of Interest applications for the role of CTPSE Police Operations Room Managers Cadre (PORM).

This is an ancillary role and requires both permission from your line management and a degree of commitment from you as an individual. Cadre PORMs should strive to commit to a minimum of one shift per month – which may need to be flexible and on occasions at short notice. This is to ensure that Covert Ops can effectively deliver the network demand, to maintain passwords, and a level of knowledge / skill relevant to the role.

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. It would be useful to have recent working knowledge of an operational/surveillance (environment) however not essential. PORM accreditation training will be provided.

It is essential that the post holder is security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for;

• Managing the deployment and welfare of a team of people during deployments.
• The delivery and management of covert deployments, including liaising with other departments / agencies.
• Identifying threat and harm whilst ensuring the risk to public is minimised and staff safety is maximised.
• Ensuring all relevant legislation, policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Ensuring all stakeholders are updated appropriately during and post deployment.
