Detective Constable – Investigations (CTPSE)We welcome applications from Detective Constables to work with Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) Investigations Unit.This is an exciting opportunity where you will be part of a team of investigators who provide a 24/7 response to terrorism offences. Taking action against those posing the highest threat to national security across the South East of the country is both a challenging and rewarding position.The successful candidate will develop and maintain effective working relationships with collaborative forces and other partner agencies across the South East region. The role will involve you co-ordinating and supporting major/ sensitive investigations, gathering evidence and intelligence in support of the investigative strategy.Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidates will require a full UK driving licence. You will also be required to perform on-call arrangements for immediate response as required across the South East regionDue to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
