Secondment/Fixed Term Contract for 18 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager to join the Procurement team.
In this role you will ensure that designated contracts with 3rd party suppliers are proactively managed to maximise benefits for the force, while effectively identifying and mitigating commercial, operational and compliance risks. The role supports the delivery of strategic objectives by ensuring that supplier performance, contractual obligations, and service outcomes are consistently achieved and improved upon.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Willingness to learn and adapt working practices to operate as part of a commercial team.
- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to promote professional working relationships with personnel at all levels. This skill will have been developed in a demanding office environment where they will have regularly demonstrated discretion, tact and diplomacy, multi-tasking, enthusiasm, initiative, and flexibility.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines, handle diverse information, manage a substantial workload and solve problems with a minimum of supervision.
- IT literate with experience in MS Applications; proven ability to manipulate data from a variety of sources and databases and willing to learn new technology, databases and systems.
- Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner.
- Excellent Analytical skills and able to interrogate multiple information sources to identify trends, errors and/or underlying performance issues and the causes of those issues.
