Position Summary: We have opened up for two Police Vehicle Technicians in the Aylesbury workshop. With a fleet of over 4,000 vehicles across the consortium—including cars, motorcycles, vans, horseboxes & more—the technicians play a crucial role in ensuring officers have the vehicles they require promptly and safely while taking pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety inspections.
- Maintain, service and repair mechanical and electrical components to manufacturer and police standards.
- Carry out fitment, replacement or repairs to police equipment.
- Perform limited warranty repairs and other maintenance tasks.
Training: Training will be provided to carry out fitment, replacement or repairs to police equipment, including manufacturers' online and face‑to‑face training.
Vetting: All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner.
