Salary and Benefits: Linked Grade, Band 3F circa £35,245 per annum, rising to Band 3G, circa £39,241 (both inclusive of a £4,000 market supplement) depending on skills, knowledge and experience, plus benefits. 24 days annual leave per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time), bank holidays, flexible working conditions, a wide range of lifestyle discounts, career development opportunities, and the option to join a local government pension scheme.

Position Summary: We have opened up for two Police Vehicle Technicians in the Aylesbury workshop. With a fleet of over 4,000 vehicles across the consortium—including cars, motorcycles, vans, horseboxes & more—the technicians play a crucial role in ensuring officers have the vehicles they require promptly and safely while taking pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety inspections.
  • Maintain, service and repair mechanical and electrical components to manufacturer and police standards.
  • Carry out fitment, replacement or repairs to police equipment.
  • Perform limited warranty repairs and other maintenance tasks.

Training: Training will be provided to carry out fitment, replacement or repairs to police equipment, including manufacturers' online and face‑to‑face training.

Vetting: All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner.
