Location: Thames Valley Police headquarters (On Site).
Working hours: Part‑time or Full‑time available. Flexible working including job sharing and part‑time unless there are legitimate operational or business reasons why this cannot be accommodated.
Responsibilities
- Manage and progress the investigation of criminal offences and other incidents/enquiries.
- Complete investigative actions, prepare case papers ensuring file completeness and delivery in accordance with court deadlines, legislation and Force policy.
- Maintain victim and witness confidence to facilitate successful outcomes.
Qualifications
- Qualified PIP2 Investigators.
- All posts require Police Vetting to the level stipulated in the National Vetting Code of Practice.
- Permanent staff applying will be offered on a secondment basis; written support from your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy is required. Without support, the role may be offered on a fixed‑term contract, which has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
- Shift allowance, on‑call or other job‑related allowances from a previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
