This role works as part of the transformation team to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and drive value for money. The candidate should have experience in a commercial role and exposure to a fast-paced environment. They must have the aptitude to work across multiple departments and procurement categories and to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders. The role requires the ability to lead the definition, prioritisation and implementation of procurement initiatives, multi-task, prioritise and manage multiple deadlines, and seek continuous improvement while being comfortable and discreet with confidential information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and key suppliers to collaborate and identify sourcing activity and opportunities that drive performance and results.
  • Conduct supplier and spend data analysis to provide insight for procurement challenges, strategies and plans.
  • Act as a business partner with budget holders and contract managers to determine requirements and recommend strategies that enable business objectives, unlock commercial value, and address challenges.
  • Design and execute strategic sourcing processes, including identifying potential suppliers, managing the tender process, negotiating agreements, and documenting internal recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Project Management to plan and measure procurement activities.
  • Liaise with Legal, Safety and Finance stakeholders to ensure diligence, compliance, risk mitigation, and budget control in third-party supply selection and contract management.
  • Support Heads of Department and contract managers with effective key supplier relationship management.
  • Support the company’s sustainability agenda regarding third-party goods and service supply.
  • Ensure auditable contractual document control processes, including maintaining an accurate contract database and supplier lifecycle management.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining effective teamwork within departments and offices.
  • Provide and promote the highest level of customer service.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices as required by current legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Ensure that all relevant information is communicated speedily and accurately.
  • Utilise materials and resources effectively and efficiently to minimise waste and reduce costs.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable requests from the senior leadership team.
