Are you ready to inspire the next generation of marine engineers? We’re looking for a passionate and experienced professional to deliver high‑quality teaching and assessment for apprentices and full‑time learners. This role offers the chance to share your expertise, support learner success, and work closely with employers in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

As a Marine Engineering Tutor/Assessor, you will:

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching for full‑time Marine Engineering courses.
  • Provide work‑based assessment, coaching, and support to apprentices, ensuring timely progress and achievement, including End Point Assessment.
  • Conduct workplace visits, practical assessments, and progress reviews using Smart Assessor.
  • Build strong relationships with employers and learners, offering guidance and generating future opportunities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and create engaging learning materials.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with College and awarding body standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Marine industry qualifications at Level 3 or equivalent (Electrical/Mechanical).
  • Substantial work experience in the marine engineering sector.
  • Effective communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly, including occasional travel.
