Thames Rockets is a recognised leader in the UK speedboat sightseeing industry, providing premium experiences and exceptional service to passengers. We are seeking a skilled Marine Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and inspect marine engines, machinery, and equipment.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Oversee installation and ongoing maintenance of systems aboard vessels.
- Ensure compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
- Lead team members and external contractors to deliver high-quality service.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
- MCA Approved Engine Course AEC 1 (AEC 2 preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marine engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and engineering software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in challenging environments, both independently and as part of a team.
