The Thames Reach Outreach teams operate across London and help those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond rapidly and work flexibly to reach people. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those offering immigration support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of the Mobile Intervention Support Team (MIST).
  • Support the Lead Manager in overseeing the City Outreach Team, which provides an assertive outreach service to rough sleepers in the City of London.
  • Deliver operational management, making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Provide supportive line management to client-facing colleagues, ensuring they have what they need to do their job to the best of their ability.
  • Work closely with the Lead Manager to ensure that both teams remain efficient and strategically relevant.
  • Develop relationships with partnership agencies, developing and maintaining effective cooperation.

Qualifications

  • A high level of experience delivering support to adults that have experienced multiple disadvantage.
  • An understanding of psychologically informed approaches to supporting people experiencing homelessness.
  • Experience delivering on accommodation outcomes for people who have been homeless, ideally including statutory solutions to homelessness.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise appropriately in a fast-paced environment that manages complex risk.
  • Ability to act as a leader, motivating colleagues whilst ensuring their safety and development.
  • Skills in data manipulation and analysis across generic IT systems.
  • Disability Confident.
