About this role… We are looking for an Admin and Facilities Lead Worker to join the Acre Lane Project and Lambeth High Street Team. Thames Reach’s hostels are transitional spaces where a 24 hour staff team support people to move in, assess their needs, and quickly identify the best place for them to move on to next. Skilled staff teams develop personalised support plans to ensure people are ready to move on and are accessing support with their health, substance misuse, criminal justice and life skills needs.
You will:
- Support the effective health and safety and oversee maintenance operations across three Lambeth hostels.
- Submit and maintain accurate Housing Benefit claims.
- Collaborate with First Contact Workers to log and resolve all maintenance and repair issues for three buildings.
- Monitor client personal service charge payments and support the teams to reduce arrears.
- Implement and maintain robust health and safety practices and procedures across the services.
- Ensure efficient turnaround of vacant rooms to maximise occupancy.
You will have:
- Strong organisational skills with experience managing competing priorities across three busy hostel sites.
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach, taking ownership of tasks and keeping work progressing efficiently.
- Confidence and assertiveness when coordinating maintenance, challenging delays and ensuring actions are completed.
- Experience in administration or facilities coordination, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in building effective working relationships with staff, contractors and external partners to keep services running smoothly.
- A resilient, committed work ethic with the capacity to problem‑solve quickly in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
