  • Support Worker – Tenancy Sustainment Team
  • Salary £33,472 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals across London who have experienced homelessness and are transitioning into their own accommodation, helping them settle into their tenancies successfully.
  • Conduct home visits to ensure clients are linked into appropriate community resources and long-term support services that will remain in place after TST involvement ends.
  • Collaborate with landlords and referring agencies to help individuals maintain their tenancies and work towards independence.
  • Co‑produce personalised, holistic action plans tailored to each individual’s needs, particularly for those who may be managing a tenancy for the first time.
  • Encourage and support engagement with health services, as well as access to employment, training, and education opportunities.
  • Work in a trauma‑informed and person‑centred way, recognising and responding to each individual’s unique experiences and strengths.

Qualifications

  • Good assertive communication stills, to provide a flexible and responsive service to people with rough sleeping histories.
  • Commitment to working with people to move on positively after a period of homelessness, to be aspirational for their future so people can go on to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Follow instructions, recognise, manage and mitigate risk.
  • Use IT systems to communicate and record your work.
  • Be able to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines, including administrative tasks.
