Thames Hospice is an independent hospice based at Bray Lake, Maidenhead. Proudly serving our community for more than 36 years, we provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care as well as vital support for patientβs families. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outpatient and Engagement Manager. This role will focus on two significant and often overlapping aspects, both are fundamental to achieving our strategic priorities of care with agility and extending reach.
The role will be the operational lead for the management of the day-to-day functions of the outpatient service ensuring that high quality and agile patient care is offered, whilst balancing economical and effective performance. The role will help lead, manage and nurture a close-knit team ensuring the provision of the Complimentary Therapy service, Lymphoedema service, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services and specialist palliative care Outpatient service to meet the individual needs of patients.
The role will also work towards developing engagement strategies aligned to our ambitious plan to extend reach through building relationships to help shape and influence palliative care for our local community. This is a unique opportunity to enhance local understanding of palliative and end of life care, alongside how the Hospice can better support the community we serve.
The role would suit an individual who is passionate and enthusiastic about delivering excellent patient care, with experience of communicating effectively and building rapport. You will need excellent organisational skills and be able to exercise initiative in resolving problems, ensuring our patients are central to all decisions.
