Hospice at Home is looking for a ‘Bank Health Care Assistant’. Thames Hospice is an independent hospice based at Bray Lake, Maidenhead. Proudly serving our community for almost 40 years, we provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care as well as vital support for patients’ families.
For our Hospice at Home service, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant, who is passionate about providing excellent care to people when they are most in need, facing the end of their lives in their own homes.
The role is for either day, nights or our night sitting service which we provide for patients in their own homes. During the day you will be working with another HCA to deliver excellent personal care for patients who need it. There may also be a requirement to assist with answering the telephones when the demand becomes busy. During the nights, for the response team, you will be accompanying a trained clinician for joint visits for patients who need support. The night sitting service is to remain in the home with a patient, which allows family to get much needed rest while you are there.
