The role involves performing vehicle servicing and repairs across a wide range of makes and models, carrying out diagnostic checks to identify mechanical faults, replacing worn or faulty parts (brakes, clutches, suspension, exhausts, etc.), road-testing vehicles before and after repair, accurately recording work carried out and parts used, and maintaining strict adherence to workshop health and safety standards. Technicians are also expected to communicate clearly with customers on vehicle issues where needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic, strong knowledge of engine, transmission, braking, steering and suspension systems, proficiency using diagnostic tools and interpreting fault codes, a full valid UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK. Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential — strong hands-on workshop experience is valued equally.
