6-month FTC (possibility of further 6-month extension).

The purpose of the role is to provide daily administrative and people support to the team of Mechanical & Biological departments, so the business runs efficiently and follows the IMS processes. By providing support to the team and reporting to the MT (Mechanical Treatment – mechanical waste sorting conveyor system) Lead Supervisor, this is a pivotal role in the structure and management of the office functions.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Based at Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park

Role Requirements:

  • Manage purchasing and finance trackers, timesheets, work planning, and assist with the day-to-day running of the team.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration required in the running of the MBT departments.
  • Proven ability to analyse data, identify trends or opportunities for improvement and make recommendations/decisions that drive continuous improvement.
  • Initiate Purchase Orders.
  • Manage vehicle hire vendors for all site vehicles.
  • Responsible for management and mentoring 10 members of the manual sorting team.
  • Be a point of escalation for the team, making judgment calls and resolving or escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Manage performance and disciplinary issues as they arise.
  • Provide management information and achieve KPI’s.
  • Complete return to work interviews.
  • Approval of team holiday requests.
  • Develop continuous improvement across the team.
  • Hold 1:1 meetings with team members including appraisals when necessary.
  • Populate and generate reports relating to job finish times/drivers hours following strict guidelines.
  • Collaborate with MT Lead Supervisor to deliver projects, drive change and propose recommendations for increased efficiency and quality.
  • Assist MT Lead Supervisor with the recruitment and interview process as needed.
  • Support project works as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.
