The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex technical projects within the energy from waste sector. This role will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop the full scope of a project in collaboration with operational, technical and compliance teams, and drive projects from concept to completion.
- Maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to execute projects across multiple sites, with travel as required.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to deliver project objectives.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to senior management.
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies.
- Conduct post‑project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Oversee on‑site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
- Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment allocation, and workforce scheduling.
- Implement and enforce site safety protocols and environmental management plans.
- Resolve on‑site technical issues and conflicts as they arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related technical field (desirable).
- Attained or working towards PRINCE2 or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
