Work within the Product/Project and Bid teams to apply expert level knowledge of Integration and Test techniques and approaches to planning and implementation of formal and informal testing strategies. Verify the correct integration of internal and external interfaces in accordance with the project requirements and customer needs and attain customer acceptance of the end solution.
Key Interactions:
The job-holder will work closely with all members of the Bid/Product/Project team, especially the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM), Product Design Authority (PDA) and Systems Engineer, as well as potentially the customer and end user communities.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, document, and coordinate activities from Integration, Test and through to Customer Acceptance.

Create and implement Integration and Test strategies for current delivery and future projects.
-
Provide advanced technical leadership for fault investigation/rectification and test activities as required.

Ensure all resources (equipment, tools and personnel) are available on the planned dates.
-
Act as a mentor and/or instructor to more junior members of the Integration and Test teams on a consistent and sustained basis.

Work with the test team and design teams to develop novel approaches to identify and resolve problems.

Direct testing activities of a team of Integration and Test engineers.

Carry out problem solving to effect positive change with respect to quality, costs, test cycle reductions and ease of test.

Ensure the required test evidence is captured, recorded and has full traceability to requirements.

Establish and maintain effective communications with the customer and sub-contractors.

Prepare and present at Integration and Test gate reviews.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Minimum 6+ years of experience in an Integration and Test role on complex systems development / integration

Good understanding of Integration and Test strategies and philosophies

Detailed knowledge of the various system lifecycles.

Experience of continuous integration and test activities

Experience of formal verification, validation activities

Experience of Acceptance Testing for UK Defence suppliers and customers – FAT, sell-off against requirements, VCRIs…etc.

Good technical writing skills, excellent communication and analytical skills; excellent command of the English language, both written and oral

An effective team player who can interface at all levels across the organisation. Able to operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment, working effectively with teams distributed across different sites/countries.
