Real Estate Operations Project Manager Location: Reading, Crawley, Manchester or Glasgow THALES are looking to recruit a passionate & driven Real Estate Operations Project Manager to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Thales UK real estate capital project programme in supporting the primary activities of the UK businesses and the UK site strategy. The Role To act as the interface between the FM Service Provider and the Sites for day to day Site delivery of Small Works / Capital Infrastructure Projects, ensuring full projects life cycle management, ensuring delivery in accordance to processes and procedures. Integrating with internal teams as well as suppliers, stakeholder management is key, ensuring end to end solutions are developed, tendered and delivered to the site(s). Key Responsibilities Management of the Small Work Program and Site interface for all reactive Project tasks To act as the Project Lead interfacing into the Real Estate functional team ensuring that all Projects and tasks are delivered in accordance with the Capital Budget and Real Estate Team processes: Create all Gate 1, Gate 2 and Gate 3 packs for all TPL CAPEX projects. Create all business cases and resultant Capex business cases. Create and manage all risk registers for all projects. Create and manage all project check lists for all projects. Delivery of Capex/ Opex Projects in accordance with Chorus 2 – ensuring end to end solutions are developed, tendered and delivered to the Site. Support the Head of Capital Projects UK in the delivery of all internal/capital / infrastructure Project on Site acting as the Project lead, developing solutions, costs and business cases, and managing each Project through to completion To attend monthly review meetings and report progress/ risks/ issues back to the Real Estate Project Manager. To be a central part of the overall operational delivery strategy team. To identify improvement ideas and be proactive in engaging both Mitie and the Site team’s on asset management strategy and Site investment plans Part of the Energy Management team supporting the reduction program and targets for the year by delivering Energy Capex Projects across the UK. Manage internal change and churn Projects on all Sites as required Supporting a culture of ‘no surprises’ becomes normal practice in Real Estate activities, ensuring development issues, risks and opportunities are recognised at the earliest possible stage Manage the UK Small works Capital and Site refresh budget’s ensuring Site priorities are completed as an ongoing program of improvement throughout the year Produce monthly report capable of presentation at the Site Forum Support all internal and external audit programs Skills and Experience Clear and demonstrable leadership within a Facilities Management environment, with excellent people management skills and the ability to influence and challenge others. Team player who can interface at all levels within an engineering and manufacturing company, represent the company to outside government and customer organisations, and who can operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment. Knowledge of Civil Avionics, Simulation, Government body or Military developments Understanding of Facilities Management Standards, processes and procedures Ability to work professionally and constructively within a team environment providing advice and consultancy. Is a self-starter, capable of working on own initiative with a high level of integrity. A confident communicator, resourceful and proactive, ensuring adequate quality and timely delivery.
