Overview
In this leadership role you will manage supplier operational performance for the procurement of products and services, ensuring on‑time delivery, quality, and cost control. You will lead negotiations, risk mitigation and contractual changes, collaborating with Engineering, Quality and Program Management Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the relationship with suppliers throughout contract execution, covering technical, industrial, planning, quality and contractual matters.
- Ensure transition of the contract with Procurement during hand‑over, and endorse contract clauses with the supplier.
- Manage internal and external activities according to the SOW/SOA and the Surveillance Plan.
- Monitor contract execution to guarantee deliveries, minimise delays and global cost impacts; detect and mitigate risks early and resolve problems quickly.
- Manage supplier progress status, challenge any delays, and maintain high performance across your project portfolio.
- At each formal contract step (reviews, delivery):
- Verify exhaustiveness and conformance of deliveries with contractual commitments.
- Approve related delivery documentation, acceptances, and authorise goods and corresponding invoices.
- Organise formal material acceptance milestones (e.g., MIP).
- Apply veto process for non‑compliant or incomplete deliveries.
- Review and resolve supplier actions, deviations (RFD, RFW) and change notices from Procurement.
- Actively manage sales forecast for all supplier milestones.
- Perform supplier performance assessment and lessons‑learned at contract completion.
- Evaluate liquidated damages status if applicable.
- Manage any delegation of authority, remaining accountable for performance.
Inputs & Events
- Supplier/Product surveillance plan.
- Risk and opportunity assessment and analysis.
- Handover package and minutes (SOW/SOA, unit requirement specifications, contract documents).
- Collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, Quality as assigned to your portfolio.
Deliverables
- Minutes of meetings and event reports (KO, EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRB, DRB).
- Monthly supplier reports.
- Hardware delivery confirmations to contract parties.
- Weekly progress status and escalation reports.
- Risk mitigation actions and major risk logs.
- Veto checklist for incomplete deliveries.
- Assessment report at contract completion.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience managing supplier performance and contract execution in a complex technical environment.
- Strong negotiation, communication and project management skills.
- Ability to anticipate risks and opportunities, and lead corrective actions.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations, quality standards and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with surveillance, risk assessment and performance measurement tools.
