Position Summary

Thales is looking for aMaster Scheduler is responsible for the elaboration, and follow-up of procurement and production plans in synchronization with the demand.

In this position, you will be involved in the early stages of production preparation in order to determine lead times to define the most adequate planning, procurement and production parameters of all active items in order for the production site to be able to deliver the products on-time in the right quantity and expected level of quality.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • The Master Scheduler’s main mission is to develop and promote Thales Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that incorporate all dependencies, aligns to resource availability, and identifies and aligns overall IFE operation plan against customer programs, OEM, seat supplier, and Thales suppliers. The Master Scheduler shall be familiar with various WBS, PBS, and BOM structuring methodologies and how they impact MRP scheduling systems.
  • Responsible for the master production schedule (MPS) including results analysis, the management of the priorities and resolution of planning exceptions.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with manufacturing, the production buyer, and programs to check the feasibility of the plans against supplier capacity and production capacity and takes required actions.
  • Conduct an analysis of open bids, prospects, and other market demand opportunities to evaluate impact on current schedules, prospective lead-times across all project life cycles. Develop reports/charts to illustrate.
  • Frequent use of industry scheduling best practices, and specific Scheduling Tool properties and functions.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 4+, or High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant work experience in shop floor planning. Extensive logistics or operations experience. Exposure to MRP/ERP (SAP) and shop floor MES systems with experience aligning program schedules with the manufacturing/production system. High proficiency of Microsoft Office to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, MS Teams, etc. Solid capability of project management with proven ability and skills to track and report project performance on scope, technical details, schedules, and financials. Ability to develop project plan, quality control goals as well as lessons learning opportunities.
  • Demonstrates effective consulting, negotiating, influencing and persuasive skills to diverse audiences. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, with all levels within the organization. Possess a combination of characteristics, including strong strategic, critical and problem-solving thinking; strong detail- and results-orientation; and decisiveness. Analytical, able to simplify complex problems, develop and drive resolution to implementation and deliver results.
  • Ability to think \”outside the box\” and leverage data responsibilities to help drive performance improvements. Problem resolution ability with a high degree of motivation, thoroughness, integrity, and reliability.
  • High degree of personal accountability and be able to manage self emotionally and professionally, as well as able to hold other people accountable. Possess demonstrated leadership and collaboration with functional teams to deliver results.
  • Proven self-starter, with a positive “can do” attitude and a high learning capacity. Capable to challenge the status quo and asking common sense questions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while dealing with disruptions and change in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment; someone who sees ‘ambiguity’ as an opportunity rather than a hurdle. Agility, able to quickly adapt in a complex, multi-national, multi-cultural environment.
  • Special Position Requirements

  • Core business hours. May be required to work outside of core business hours.

    Total Target Cash (TTC): 78,726.00 – 104,968.00 – 131,210.00 USD Annual
