Manufacturing Technician Electrical Operator – Night Shift (Thursday – Saturday)
Templecombe, United Kingdom
Thales UK’s Underwater Systems division is inviting applications for an Electrical Manufacturing Technician who will work within our towed array manufacturing cell located in Templecombe. The role is part‑time, 12‑hour fixed shifts Thursday‑Saturday night, with a 30% uplift on the base salary and an additional £80 bonus for working on Saturday.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Operate machinery and perform mechanical assembly operations as defined by routings, manufacturing instructions, wiring schedules and drawings.
- Ensure product equipment and tools are used and maintained to the required workshop standards.
- Work to deliver consistently high‑quality Sonar system components on time to support the production line.
About You
- Ability to assemble and test product to a high standard.
- Proficient in complex electrical operations, including wiring and component soldering to IPC standards.
- Awareness of a production environment or similar.
- Strong time‑management and prioritisation skills, focused on meeting deadlines.
- Capable of working on own initiative while also contributing as a team player.
- Basic level of PC skills.
