Hours: 4-day week, Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week

As an Industrial Process Engineer – Tool and Automation, you will support Jig and Tool including Automation manufacturing within project and budget constraints to produce economical manufacturing methods. Your responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing team resources effectively
  • Providing Tooling and Automation support across all business programs
  • Creating Bills of Materials
  • Supporting Tool Try Out, maintenance, and calibration cycles
  • Resolving internal production issues
  • Liaising with customers on equipment issues related to project work
  • Working in multi-functional teams to ensure components and products are designed for efficient manufacturing
  • Specifying, selecting, justifying, and commissioning new Tooling and automated equipment
  • Examining Tooling and Automation equipment for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
  • Estimating labor and material costs for bids
  • Training personnel in Tool Engineering activities

Responsibilities:

  • Managing Tool Engineering activities for departmental work packages
  • Providing guidance on Tooling matters to team members
  • Ensuring Tooling information supports efficient manufacturing

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering preferred; HND with experience accepted

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant Jig and Tool Engineering experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in Tool and Automation design
  • Proficiency in Catia V5 R21, Smarteam, or equivalent 3D CAD software
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and geometrical tolerancing (BS8888)
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 environment and procedures
  • Design for Manufacture and Assembly, Problem Solving, Machining and mechanical processes knowledge
