Role: Permanent and Fixed Term Opportunities
Hours: 4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week
We’re looking for a number of Test Technicians to join our Naval Manufacturing team. Our Test Technicians carry out in depth testing and fault diagnoses of complex electro-optical units, PECs and sub-assemblies. The roles are based out of our Glasgow manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.
What you’ll do…
- Test and repair various electronic systems and sub-assemblies to component level.
- Diagnose faults and contribute to material review boards (MRBs) and root cause analysis.
- Perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expected in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasks.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety processes at all times.
- Ensure any incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
- Input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry.
- Manage and record build configuration of product.
What you’ll need…
- Experience working in a production test department.
- An HNC in electrical/electronic engineering would be advantageous.
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams / schematics and identify faults to component level.
- Ability to identify and carry out actions required with minimal supervision.
- PC literate in the use of Microsoft Office Tool set.
- Able to secure SC clearance with no restrictions.
